Instead of generating throwaway mockups, the AI now works inside your existing design system, reusing your text styles, color tokens, and components rather than inventing new ones. For an agency, that is the difference between a demo and a deliverable.

In practice, we now scaffold entire section systems in minutes, then spend our time on the judgement calls: hierarchy, rhythm, and voice. The AI handles the scaffolding. We handle the craft.

How our workflow actually changed

Before agents, a typical client build ran in three passes: structure in Figma, rebuild in Framer, then a long polish phase where the two drifted apart. Agents collapsed that into a single loop. We brief the agent with the approved design system, it drafts sections directly on the canvas, and every revision happens in the same file the client will eventually publish from.

Three shifts made the biggest difference for us:

Where we still keep humans in the loop

Agents are fast, but they are confident in both directions — they will happily produce a generic layout with the same conviction as a great one. Every agent-drafted section at PixlForm goes through a senior review for hierarchy, copy tone, and accessibility before a client ever sees it. Motion design and brand-defining moments are still built by hand, because that is where the site earns its personality.

The honest summary: agents did not replace our designers. They replaced the parts of the job our designers never wanted to do, and shortened the distance between a good idea and a live page from weeks to days.
