Shipping in Seven Languages: Framer Localization in Practice

One canvas, many markets

Localization tooling in Framer matured significantly this year, and we just used it to launch a client site in seven languages from a single project. Locale-aware slugs, per-locale imagery, and AI-assisted first-pass translations cut a multi-week workflow down to days.

The biggest surprise was layout resilience. Because Framer layouts are built on stacks and constraints rather than fixed positions, long German compound words and Japanese line-breaking mostly just worked.

Design with your longest locale in mind, keep copy in the CMS wherever possible, and budget real human review for the languages your revenue depends on.
